Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Continuous enrollment eliminates the laborious process of reregistering and filling out enrollment forms every year. With continuous enrollment, each student’s enrollment packet will be valid from the year of enrollment until they graduate from BCS.

The purpose of moving to continuous enrollment is two-fold: • First, it eliminates the mountain of paperwork that families fill out each year. Each year, the vast majority of BCS students re-enroll. This will save all of those families, and the BCS business office, the hassle of filling out the same forms over and over. • Second, BCS is full. There are more students applying for spots at BCS than there are spots available. Continuous enrollment allows BCS to know when a rare spot comes open so that we can communicate with prospective families as early in the process as possible.

Life happens. You can withdraw your student from BCS for the next school year without incurring late withdrawal fees up until February 1st of the current school year. However, if you withdraw your student for the following year after February 1, there will be late withdrawal fees (see next Q&A for timelines and fees). BCS also recognizes that sometimes life can throw you a curveball. There are unique life circumstances that will allow you to withdraw from next year’s CE tuition without incurring the withdrawal fees. These unique circumstances are as follows: • Proof that your family is relocating 50 miles or more from BCS prior to the first day of school. • Your family has completed the application for Financial Aid, and it has been determined by BCS administration through the FACTS application process that the amount of recommended aid is not sufficient for the family’s needs, thereby necessitating withdrawal due to financial reasons. • It is determined by the BCS Administration that it can no longer meet the educational needs of the student. • If your student is dismissed from BCS during an existing school year, you will be financially obligated for the current full school year but not the following year. If you must withdraw during a school year, you will owe the balance of that year’s tuition.

If the withdrawal process for the next school year is completed by February 1st there will be no late withdrawal fee for next year’s CE tuition. The following withdrawal fees will be assessed if the withdrawal occurs after these dates: • February 1st: a withdrawal fee of $600 per student • March 1st: a withdrawal fee of $1,500 per student • April 1st: a withdrawal fee of $2,500 per student • May 1st: full annual tuition is due

There is not a “re-enrollment fee” with continuous enrollment. There is, however, a seat-hold fee that is due on February 1 of each year will be billed to your student account. This non-refundable seat fee guarantees your spot the following year.

BCS will send out tuition rates for the following school year in January by email and will post rates online.

On the BCS website, there will be a withdrawal form that will need to be filled out and submitted by February 1st to avoid any penalty fees. BCS has instituted a formal withdrawal process that includes completing the form and then a withdrawal meeting by phone or in person with your principal.

Yes, we will continue to offer our Tuition Protection Plan and we have expanded the timeframe to include withdrawals beginning May 1st of each year for families that have purchased this plan. Tuition Protection will not cover any Continouos Enrollment late withdrawal penalties prior to May 1st. Full details can be found in our Parent-Student Handbook.

Yes, financial aid applications still must be submitted through FACTS every year to receive aid for the successive school year. Financial Aid applications are due by April 15th for returning students.

All accounts must be kept current to receive a schedule, a guaranteed seat in class, or records. BCS reserves the right to not guarantee your class placement if there is an outstanding balance.
