Discover the joy of singing in a Christ-centered environment where students grow in faith, community, and musical excellence.

A Journey of Musical
Excellence and Spiritual Growth

At Brentwood Christian School, our choir program is more than just singing; it’s about creating a community where students grow in faith and express themselves through the beauty of music. Guided by experienced and passionate instructors, our choir members learn the fundamentals of vocal performance, develop their musical talents, and participate in performances that honor God.

Middle School Men’s Choir

The Middle School Choir at Brentwood Christian School is a mixed-voice ensemble consisting of 7th and 8th-grade boys and girls. This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in sight-reading and choral vocal technique, preparing them for the transition to high school choir.

Students rehearse every other day, honing their skills and building confidence as performers. Each year, they showcase their talents in two concerts and participate in the Music in the Park Festival with the BCS High School Choirs.

Starting in 2023, our middle school choir has also taken part in the TAPPS Junior Competition, where they achieved a superior rating in their first competition.

High School Choir

The High School Choir at Brentwood Christian School is open to all high school students, offering a dynamic and inclusive program that fosters both vocal and musical growth. Through carefully selected repertoire, students not only develop their singing skills but also build a strong foundation in musical theory, performance, and expression.

Members of the choir have numerous opportunities to explore the world of music, both inside and outside the classroom. They rehearse every other day, preparing for two major concerts each year, and participate in two spring competitions: the Music in the Park Festival and the TAPPS State Vocal Contest. Additionally, students have the opportunity to perform in the school’s musical production and an external concert, further expanding their performance experience beyond the school community.

Encore Choir

Encore is the premier ensemble choir at Brentwood Christian School, composed of select 9th-12th grade students who are chosen through a competitive audition process. This intensive program is designed to refine vocal skills while offering students the opportunity to explore a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary music, enriching both their musical and cultural understanding.

All Encore members are required to participate in solo, small ensemble, and large ensemble performances and TAPPS competition each year, ensuring comprehensive vocal development. In addition to their performances at school concerts, competitions, and various external events, Encore also leads Brentwood Christian School’s A Cappella chapel service every Wednesday. These students are also integral members of the High School Choir, exemplifying their dedication to musical excellence and leadership within the BCS community.
