Preschool is a time when children transition from home to a full-day classroom. A loving, Christian teacher helps make this shift smoother by meeting each child’s needs and helping them thrive. Our goal is for every child to reach their potential and grow in the knowledge that Jesus loves them. We pray that each day glorifies God in all we do.
Kindergarten is a monumental year as children transition from home to a classroom setting. A loving, Christian teacher helps make this shift joyful by understanding each child’s needs and fostering cooperation with others. Brentwood Christian School’s program blends love and discipline, making school an inviting and enriching place to learn.
First grade is a year of transition where foundational literacy and numeracy skills are developed. Students grow into stronger readers and learn to express their ideas through writing. In Social Studies and Science, they explore the world God created with purpose. First graders also develop study habits, grasp basic math concepts, and deepen their understanding of God’s love.
The second grade year builds upon the skills learned and understandings grasped in first grade. Students expand their knowledge of subject areas as they also develop confidence and proficiency in basic reading and math skills. All areas of the curriculum branch out into a wider arc as students build a greater understanding of God’s world.
Third grade is a pivotal year, bridging the gap between primary and upper elementary. Students build independence, learn cursive, master multiplication and division, and use textbooks. They explore new concepts in social studies and science, read from individual Bibles, and grow emotionally and spiritually. Each child is reminded that they are uniquely gifted by God for His glory.
Fourth grade is a time of significant change—physically, emotionally, socially, and academically. Building a strong faith in God helps students navigate these changes and growing responsibilities. The curriculum encourages independence, organization, and critical thinking to tackle more complex concepts.
Fifth grade is a year of growth in physical strength, focus, and intellectual development. Students begin forming deeper conclusions, organizing thoughts, and reasoning about right and wrong. As they experience pre-adolescent changes, they also grasp deeper aspects of faith and take on greater personal responsibility.
