Football

On Friday, August 16th the Bear Football Team Kicked off the 2019 season in impressive fashion when they traveled to Mason to take on the defending state champions in the legendary Puncherdome. The Bear defense picked up where they left off last year by shutting out the Punchers. The lone score of the scrimmage came after Sam Orick had an impressive 55-yard run. Phillip Mach punched the ball in for the score and the scrimmage ended 1 touchdown to 0.

In the second scrimmage, the Bears’ defense showed their strength again and held Juan Navarro High to no points. NHS is the old Lanier High School so it was a battle for bragging rights for North Lamar. The offense was impressive and scored 8 times.
