Track – State Bound!

As of right now our Bears and Lady Bears are competing at regionals and word on the street is we have multiple athletes that will move on to STATE!! More information will be coming out next week! 

 

On April 15th our Bears and Lady Bears competed at the District Track meet and both teams took home first place for a first in BCS history!!!! Coach Washington said, “The boys’ track team scored a total of 220 points as they went on to cruise past the competition and win the program’s first district championship! The athletes qualified for Regionals in 12 events which is the most ever in school history”.

Softball

On April 13th our varsity Lady Bears played against Hyde Park and won 4-3! 

  • McKenna Counts – winning pitcher, 2/3 with 1 RBI.  
  • Aurora Tyson 2/3 w/ 2 RBI and 6 put-outs at catcher, 
  • Keira Black 2/3 with triple and single, 
  • Christina Hoelscher 1/3 with 2 runs scored, 
  • Bailey Harris clutch catch on hard line drive to left field in last inning

 

On April 13th our JV Lady Bears also played against Hyde Park. The girls played hard but ultimately lost 8-1.

 

On April 17th our varsity Lady Bears played against Hyde Park and lost a close game with a final score of 8-9.

  • Aurora Tyson – 3/4 w/ a home run 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs, 2 stolen bases
  • McKenna Counts – 3/4 w/ 2 doubles, 2 RBIs
  • Kennedy Drennen – 3 stolen bases, 2 runs scored
  • Molly Stewart – 2/4
  • Keira Black – 2 runs scored, 2 stolen bases

 

On April 17th our varsity Lady Bears played against Hyde Park again and Won with a score of 10-6!

  • Aurora Tyson 1/2, 2 RBIs, 2 runs, 2 Stolen Bases
  • Rachel Stanglin – 1/2 – got hit in last inning to start the scoring streak that helped with the game
  • McKenna Counts – 1/3, 2 RBI
  • Macie Griswold – 1/3, 1 run scored
  • Kennedy Drennen- 2 runs scored, 1 stolen base
  • Molly Stewart – winning pitcher

 

Baseball

On April 6th our Varsity Bears played St. Mary’s Hall and won 7-0! Coach Doege said, “It was a great team win on a very windy night”.

 

On April 9th our Varsity Bears played Regents and won 11-10! It was another complete team effort and win.

 

On April 9th our Varsity Bears played Regents and won again with a score of 3-2! Another great baseball game and our team found a way to win it.

 

On April 12th our JV Bears played Regents and lost 10-3.

 

On April 13th our Varsity Bears played Regents and won again with a score of 10-0! Our team had quality at-bats and hit the ball well in the game.

 

On April 15th our JV Bears played St. Anthony’s and lost 8-6.

 

On April 16th our Varsity Bears played Geneva and won again with a score of 7-0!
