BCS Takes 5th in State at TAPPS Art Competition
Seven Brentwood Christian School art students won fifth in the TAPPS 3A state competition at Concordia University March 23-24, taking ten art pieces and competing in four on-site events.
BCS placed third overall at the 3A TAPPS district competition February 13, just two points shy of second place. Senior Kayle Morin won “outstanding artist” recognition, and five BCS pieces took first place.
Thirty BCS high school art students submitted 73 pieces to district, competing against nine other schools and a total of 367 pieces. Students won thirty awards, including three second places, two third places, one fourth place, five fifth places, four sixth places, and ten honorable mentions.
